Jonas Campos-Siebeck started playing the cello at the age of 7.
As a soloist he has already performed with Nordeutsche Philharmonie Rostock, Neue Philharmonie Hamburg and the Master Orchestra Brescia.
He is prizewinner of various competitions, most recently he became finalist of Hellam Young Artist Competition, won a 1st prize at Vienna Mozart Competition and a 2nd prize at the Mahler Cello Competition.
Chamber music concerts led Jonas to Italy at the Bolzano Festival, to Portugal and Switzerland.
Jonas gained orchestra experience with the Camerata of the Menuhin Academy Soloists, at the Balthasar Neumann Ensemble, the Gustav Mahler Jugendorchester and the Junge Deutsche Philharmonie.
He is scholarshipholder of Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben.
Currently Jonas is studying at Menuhin Academy under the guidance of Pablo de Naverán. Before he studied at HfMDK Frankfurt with Prof. Jan Ickert and in UdK Berlin with Hannah Eichberg.
He frequently works with rennende cellists, such as Gary Hoffman, Frans Helmerson, Daniel Müller-Schott, Troels Svane and others.
His Cello, labeled „Gaparo da Salò“, is from the 19th century, from bohemian origin with possible italian influences.
